Terms of Service

Scan-Chan

Effective date: 18 October 2026 Last updated: 22 October 2026 Version: 1.1

1. Welcome and Agreement

1.1 Thank you for visiting. These Terms of Service (the "Terms") set out the basis on which you may use Scan-Chan, available at https://scanchan.app, together with every page, dashboard, box, feed, share card, interface, communication channel and related feature that refers to these Terms (together, the "Platform"). The Platform is operated by the operator of Scan-Chan ("we", "us" and "our").

1.2 We have written these Terms to be read by the people who use the Platform, not only by lawyers, and we would encourage you to read them through once. They explain what the Platform does, what we ask of you, and how responsibility is shared between us. The parts that limit our responsibility are clearly headed so that they are easy to find.

1.3 By opening the Platform, by connecting a wallet, by running or opening a scan, by asking a question, or by using any other feature, you confirm that you have read and understood these Terms and that you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the Platform.

1.4 If you use the Platform for an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to accept these Terms for it, and "you" then means both you and that organisation.

1.5 We may publish additional notices, limits or guidelines for particular features. Those form part of these Terms. If one of them conflicts with these Terms, it governs only for the feature it addresses and only to the extent of the conflict.

2. Meaning of Words Used

2.1 The words below carry these meanings wherever they appear. Each is meant broadly and in line with its ordinary commercial sense.

"Platform" has the meaning in Section 1, as it exists and changes from time to time, in whole or in part.

"Services" means every function, display, analysis, label, score, summary, alert, tool or other capability made available through the Platform, whether produced by us, by automated means, or by a provider acting for us.

"Scan" means an automated review that the Platform performs on an input you or another user provide, such as a contract address, a public post, a public account, a website or a wallet address, together with everything the Platform displays as a result of it.

"Assessment" means any rating (including any grade such as Avoid, Mixed or Clean), label, stamp, score, flag, verdict, summary, chart reading, pattern, link, grouping, note, opinion or other characterisation produced by the Platform, whether in a Scan, on the live displays, in a box on a dashboard, in a note or analysis attributed to Scan-Chan, or in an answer to a question.

"User Content" means anything you enter, submit, paste, write or make available through the Platform, including Scan inputs, questions, notes, theses and layout choices.

"Third-Party Services" means any website, application, wallet, network, data source, social platform, interface, communication channel or service that we do not operate, whether or not the Platform links to it, reads from it or displays information from it.

"Associated Token" means any freely transferable digital collectible whose contract address may from time to time be displayed on the Platform, as described further in Section 11.

2.2 Headings are for ease of reading and do not change meaning. Words such as "including", "such as" and "for example" introduce examples and do not narrow what comes before them. A reference to a document is a reference to it as updated. The singular includes the plural, and the reverse.

3. Who May Use the Platform

3.1 We offer the Platform only where it may lawfully be offered, and only to people who may lawfully receive it. Rules differ from place to place and change often, so we rely on you to know your own position.

3.2 Each time you use the Platform, you confirm that:

(a) you have reached the age of majority where you live and are able to enter into a binding agreement;

(b) your use of the Platform, and of each feature you choose to use, is permitted by the laws and requirements that apply to you, including those of the place you access it from and of any place where you live or hold citizenship;

(c) you are not a person, and you do not act for or for the benefit of any person, who is subject to a restriction, designation or prohibition that would make your access, or our provision of access, impermissible;

(d) you are not located in, ordinarily resident in, or accessing the Platform from, any territory where providing the Platform or any of its features would be restricted or prohibited; and

(e) you will not use the Platform, or allow anyone else to use it, in a way that would place us in breach of any requirement that applies to us.

3.3 The Platform is made available generally. It is not aimed at, promoted to or intended for anyone to whom it may not lawfully be offered, and nothing about it, whether presented by us or by anyone else, is an invitation or offer in any place where that would not be permitted.

3.4 We may, at our discretion and without any duty to do so, restrict, condition or decline access for particular places or persons, and we may use technical or procedural means to do that. Such measures exist for our own protection. They are not a ruling on your legal position, and whether or not they apply to you does not change the confirmations above. If you cannot honestly give those confirmations, please do not use the Platform.

4. What the Platform Is

4.1 We built the Platform to help people see more clearly into a fast and noisy market, and we put real care into making it useful. We also want to be plain about what it is and what it is not.

4.2 The Platform reads publicly available information, including records on public networks, public posts and accounts on social platforms, and publicly reachable websites, and presents automated displays and analyses of that information. Its features include live displays of newly created digital tokens, Scans, Assessments, charts, dashboards with boxes you can arrange, a public feed of Scans, a question feature that may draw on live internet search, and personal tools such as a watchlist, alerts, thesis notes, a journal built from the public activity of a connected wallet, and simulated practice entries that involve no real assets.

4.3 Unless we expressly say otherwise in writing, the Platform is not offered as, and should not be relied on as, a trading venue, an exchange, a broker, a dealer, a custodian, a wallet, a payment service, an adviser, a fiduciary, a rating agency, an investigator, a financial institution, an agent for you, or a provider of any regulated activity. The Platform never holds, moves or controls your assets, and it never asks you to approve a transaction.

4.4 Assessments are automated opinions, not statements of fact. Every Assessment is generated by automated processes, which may include language models, from information that may be partial, delayed, mistaken, manipulated or out of date. An Assessment reflects what the Platform could read at a particular moment and how its methods weighed it. It may be wrong, it may become wrong as circumstances change, and different methods could reasonably reach a different view. An Assessment about a token, a wallet, a website, an account or a project is not an allegation about any person, is not a finding of wrongdoing, and is not a statement that any person is or is not trustworthy. Where the Platform shows a link or grouping between wallets, accounts or websites, it describes a pattern in public information and the evidence it rests on; it does not establish common ownership, control, intent or identity. Scan-Chan is an automated character, not a person: her notes, opinions and answers are Assessments produced by language models, and an opinion she gives in friendly or casual words is still only an automated opinion. A rating such as Avoid, Mixed or Clean, and any score that comes with it, only summarises how the Platform's automated checks came out at the time of a Scan. It is not a view on price, value, timing or quality as an investment. A favourable rating is not a recommendation or an endorsement, and an unfavourable one is not an allegation about any person.

4.5 Information on the Platform is provided for general information only. It is not a record of anyone's rights or holdings, and it should be checked against original sources before it is relied on for any purpose.

4.6 If you believe an Assessment about you or your project is inaccurate, please contact us at our official account at https://x.com/scanchanxbt with details. We will consider what you send in good faith and may, at our discretion, add context, re-run, correct, limit or remove the material concerned, without any obligation to do so in a particular way or time.

4.7 The Platform will change. We may add, alter, combine, limit or retire any feature at any time, as described in Section 15. Any description of the Platform describes it in general terms at a moment in time and is not a promise about what it will contain later.

5. Wallet Sign-In, Access and Security

5.1 Some features become available when you connect a supported wallet and sign a short message confirming that you control the address. Signing that message does not move any asset and does not authorise any transaction. Access obtained in this way is personal to you.

5.2 We take reasonable, proportionate care to protect the way sign-in works and we continue to improve it. Much of your security, however, depends on you and on the devices, software and credentials you choose to use.

5.3 You are responsible for:

(a) keeping safe every key, recovery phrase, password, device and other means of access you use with the Platform, and for the consequences of any use of them, whether authorised by you or not;

(b) all activity carried out through your access; and

(c) telling us promptly at our official account at https://x.com/scanchanxbt if you know of or suspect any unauthorised use.

5.4 We will never ask you for a recovery phrase or private key, and nobody acting for us will. Anyone who asks for one is not acting for us.

5.5 Some means of access cannot be recovered by anyone. If a key or recovery phrase is held only by you, we cannot restore, reset or replace it, and we cannot undo anything done by a person who obtains it. Please keep independent backups and treat such material with the care it deserves.

5.6 We may limit, suspend, reset or end any access where we consider it appropriate, including for reasons of security, integrity or suspected misuse, and including as a precaution while we look into something.

6. Other Services We Connect To

6.1 The Platform reads from, links to, displays information from and works alongside Third-Party Services, including public networks, data providers, social platforms, wallet software and search services. We connect to them because we believe it makes the Platform more useful. A connection is not an endorsement, a recommendation, a verification or an acceptance of responsibility.

6.2 Third-Party Services are run by independent parties under their own terms. We do not control, audit or answer for them, and we cannot promise that they will be available, accurate, secure, consistent or well behaved. Your dealings with any of them are between you and them.

6.3 If you choose to connect, authorise or use a Third-Party Service in connection with the Platform, you do so by your own choice and at your own risk. You are responsible for reading its terms, for understanding what you permit it to do, and for withdrawing permissions you no longer want to give.

6.4 Information from Third-Party Services is passed through largely as received. We do not verify it and make no representation about it. We may change, limit, pause or stop any connection at any time without notice or liability, and a Third-Party Service may change its own behaviour in ways we cannot foresee.

7. Fair Use of the Platform

7.1 We ask everyone to use the Platform fairly, lawfully and with respect for other users and for the people and projects it reads about. The list below describes the kinds of conduct that are not acceptable. It is not complete, and we may act on conduct of a similar nature even if it is not listed.

7.2 You agree not to, not to try to, and not to help or allow anyone else to:

(a) use the Platform for an unlawful purpose or in a way that would place us or anyone else in breach of a requirement;

(b) probe, scan, disrupt, overload or gain unauthorised access to any part of the Platform, any related system, or any data or account not meant for you;

(c) get around any limit, allowance, rate control, sign-in step or other protective or usage measure, including by using several identities, addresses, devices or networks to obtain more than one person's allowance;

(d) collect, copy, index or extract data or functionality by automated means, except in ways we expressly allow;

(e) reverse engineer, decompile or try to derive the source code, methods or underlying components of the Platform, except where such a restriction cannot lawfully be applied;

(f) copy, republish, resell, frame, mirror or build derivative works from the Platform or its output, except as these Terms allow;

(g) present any Assessment as a statement of fact about a person, alter or crop an Assessment so as to change its meaning, or use the Platform or its output to harass, threaten, defame or intimidate anyone;

(h) impersonate any person, misstate an affiliation, or suggest that we endorse, sponsor or approve of anything when we do not;

(i) submit material that is unlawful, infringing, deceptive, abusive, hateful or malicious, or that contains harmful code;

(j) try to manipulate, distort or exploit any display, ranking, feed, Scan, Assessment or allowance, or the experience of other users, including by feeding the Platform material designed to influence its output; or

(k) do anything that, in our reasonable view, harms the Platform, us or other users, or brings the Platform into disrepute.

7.3 We may look into suspected breaches and take whatever steps we consider appropriate, including removing material, limiting features, suspending or ending access and cooperating with lawful requests, and we may do so without notice where circumstances call for it. We are not obliged to monitor the Platform, and choosing not to act in one case does not prevent us from acting in another.

8. What You Submit

8.1 You keep whatever rights you hold in your User Content. We do not claim to own it.

8.2 Scans are public by design. When you run a Scan, its input, its results and the time it ran may be shown in the public feed and on shareable pages, labelled with a shortened form of your wallet address if you are signed in, or as anonymous if you are not. Questions you ask, theses you write and practice entries you record are shown to you and are not published by us, although they are stored so that the Platform can work.

8.3 So that we can run and present the Platform, you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable and sublicensable licence to host, store, copy, adapt, reformat, display, publish and otherwise use your User Content in connection with operating, providing, improving and promoting the Platform. The licence lasts as long as reasonably needed for those purposes, including for copies held in backups, caches, logs and archives, and for material others have already shared.

8.4 You confirm that you have the rights needed to give that licence and that your User Content does not infringe anyone else's rights.

8.5 We may, without being obliged to, review, decline, restrict, edit, hide or remove User Content and Scans, including where we consider them inconsistent with these Terms or otherwise unsuitable. User Content reflects the views of the person who submitted it, not ours.

8.6 If you send us ideas, suggestions or feedback, we may use them freely, without restriction, credit or payment.

9. Ownership of the Platform

9.1 The Platform, including its design, layouts, text, illustrations, characters, interfaces, software, names, marks and compilations, other than User Content and material belonging to Third-Party Services, belongs to us or to those who license it to us and is protected by applicable rights.

9.2 As long as you follow these Terms, we give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable and revocable licence to use the Platform for its intended purposes. You may share links to Scans and their share cards in their unaltered form. All other rights are reserved, and nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of anything to you.

10. What We Say and What Others Say

10.1 We like to talk openly about what we are building. Talking openly means talking about things that are unfinished, uncertain and sometimes never completed.

10.2 Any statement made by us or for us about plans, intentions, aims, timelines, features being considered, or anything else that is not a present fact, is forward-looking. It reflects a view held when it was made, it is aspirational, and it is not a commitment, a guarantee or an offer. It may change or be dropped without notice, it forms no part of these Terms, and it creates no obligation. Please do not act in reliance on it.

10.3 Statements by anyone other than us are not ours. Commentators, community members, automated accounts, aggregators, media and other independent parties may describe, praise, criticise, summarise or speculate about the Platform or about anything it displays. We do not control, adopt, verify or answer for any of that, including where it is repeated widely, presented as authoritative, or appears in spaces connected with the Platform. If we did not publish it through an official channel, it is not ours.

10.4 Only the current version of these Terms, and material we expressly publish as binding, records what we have committed to.

11. The Associated Token

11.1 This section is here so that the position on the Associated Token is clear from the start. The Platform itself does not sell, offer, promote or facilitate trading in the Associated Token, and none of its features depend on holding it.

11.2 What it is. The Associated Token is a freely transferable digital collectible that exists on a public, permissionless network which we neither own, run nor control. We do not offer it as, and it should not be acquired, held or understood as, an investment, a security, a share, a unit, a note, a deposit, a loan, a derivative, a managed product, a currency, a payment instrument, a store of value, or an interest of any kind in us, in the Platform, or in any asset, revenue, undertaking or entity.

11.3 No rights. Holding the Associated Token gives no ownership, equity, control, vote, distribution, dividend, redemption, repayment, priority, revenue entitlement, asset entitlement, service entitlement or claim of any kind against us or anyone else. It creates no relationship between us beyond these Terms, and it does not make us your agent, trustee, fiduciary, counterparty, adviser or partner.

11.4 No promise of function. If any use, feature, recognition or integration is ever described in connection with the Associated Token, that description is indicative and forward-looking and is subject in full to Section 10. We do not undertake to develop, deliver, keep or continue any such use, and any that exists may change or end.

11.5 Independent markets and independent participants. Any market, venue, price, quote, listing, pool, ranking or trading involving the Associated Token arises from the independent actions of independent participants on public networks. We do not operate, direct, coordinate, support, endorse, underwrite, stabilise, maintain, guarantee or answer for any of it.

Anyone may, without our knowledge, permission, involvement or ability to stop them, acquire, hold, accumulate, sell, promote, criticise, misrepresent, copy or otherwise deal with the Associated Token, or act in ways that affect how it is seen or traded. That conduct may be automated, coordinated, opportunistic, careless, mistaken, deceptive or hostile, and may be aimed at the Associated Token, at the Platform, at us or at other participants. Its effects may be sudden, serious and irreversible. They are outside our control, they are not attributable to us, and we are not responsible for them. We do not undertake to monitor, identify, counter, remedy, compensate for or comment on any such conduct.

We do not control who else holds the Associated Token, how much they hold, why they hold it, or what they do next. No conclusion about us, our conduct or our intentions should be drawn from what any other holder does. The Platform may display information about the Associated Token in the same automated way it displays information about any other token, and that display is not a statement by us about its merits.

11.6 Volatility. The Associated Token may move in price quickly, sharply and without warning, and may stop trading altogether. It may become impossible to sell at any time, for any reason or for none that can be seen. Past movement says nothing about future movement. Nobody acting for us suggests, implies, targets or promises any level, range, floor, direction or outcome, at any time.

11.7 Your decision. Any decision to acquire, hold or dispose of the Associated Token is yours alone, made on your own assessment, with your own information and at your own risk. Please do not acquire it expecting a gain, relying on anything we have said, relying on anyone's efforts, or relying on the Platform continuing to exist. Form your own view, take your own advice, and act only as far as suits your own circumstances.

12. Allocations and Disposition

12.1 We think it fair to describe, in general terms, our approach to any allocation of the Associated Token connected with building and running the Platform, so that expectations are set honestly from the outset.

12.2 Any such allocation may be held subject to restrictions on transfer or disposal. Where restrictions are used, their nature, scope, method and duration are decided at our discretion, may be put in place by any means we think appropriate, and may be changed, extended, shortened, released or replaced as operational, technical, market, legal or other circumstances require. No particular restriction, period, method or result is promised, and the presence or absence of a restriction at any time should not be relied on.

12.3 Any portion that is not restricted, or that stops being restricted, may be held or disposed of. Where disposals take place, our intention is to carry them out in a measured way, in balanced intervals, with reasonable regard for prevailing conditions and for the wider community, and in keeping with good-faith stewardship of the Platform. Some of any proceeds may be used for development, maintenance, data and infrastructure costs, operations, people, security, community initiatives and other purposes connected with the Platform or our activities generally.

12.4 This section describes our general approach and intention at the time of writing and is subject in full to Section 10. It is not a commitment, schedule, limit, guarantee or undertaking about timing, quantity, method, proportion, use of proceeds or continuation, and it may change. It creates no right, entitlement, expectation or claim for anyone, and it is not meant to encourage any decision to acquire, hold or dispose of anything.

13. Risks You Accept

13.1 The Platform works with technology and markets that are powerful, young, fast-moving and in many ways beyond anyone's control. We would rather you understood that clearly from the start.

13.2 You understand and accept that:

(a) digital tokens and the networks they run on are volatile and experimental, and their value can fall sharply, including to nothing, and stay there;

(b) public networks run independently of us and may suffer congestion, delay, failure, reorganisation, forks, halts, upgrades, attacks or rule changes, any of which may affect what the Platform can read or show;

(c) activity on public networks is generally irreversible, so a mistaken instruction, address, amount or counterparty usually cannot be undone by us or anyone else;

(d) software, including the Platform, the software it depends on and the software you use, may contain defects or vulnerabilities despite reasonable care, and these may be exploited;

(e) automated analysis, including analysis that uses language models, can be confidently wrong, can be misled by material designed to mislead it, and can miss what a person would notice;

(f) markets for newly created tokens are frequently shaped by coordinated, automated or deceptive behaviour that public information may not reveal, and no review, however careful, can detect all of it;

(g) the legal treatment of these technologies varies between places, is uncertain, and may change suddenly or retrospectively, which may affect the Platform or your use of it; and

(h) the Platform may become unavailable, in part or entirely, for a time or for good.

13.3 You use the Platform by your own choice and you accept these risks. Please never commit anything you are not fully prepared to lose, and never use the Platform in a way that does not fit your own circumstances, obligations and judgement.

14. Not Advice

14.1 Nothing on the Platform, including any Scan, Assessment, rating, grade, stamp, score, alert, chart reading, answer, journal flag or prompt, and nothing said by us or for us, is financial, investment, trading, legal, tax, accounting or other professional advice, and none of it is a recommendation, solicitation or endorsement to buy, sell, hold or do anything.

14.2 We do not know your situation and we do not assess whether anything is suitable for you. Nothing on the Platform is personal to you, even where a tool uses your own wallet activity. Please take independent professional advice suited to your circumstances before acting. Every decision you make is yours.

14.3 You are responsible for working out and meeting your own obligations, including any reporting or tax obligations that arise from what you do.

15. Availability and Change

15.1 We work to keep the Platform available and running well, and we put real effort into that. We cannot promise it.

15.2 The Platform is provided on an "as available" basis. Any feature, including the live displays, may be interrupted, delayed, degraded or paused, whether for maintenance, updates, security, capacity, limits set by us or by providers we rely on, the failure of something we depend on, legal reasons, or reasons wholly outside our control. Free allowances, limits and the features they apply to may be set, changed or withdrawn at any time.

15.3 We may at any time, at our sole discretion, and without obligation or liability to you:

(a) change, update, reduce, restructure, rename or relocate the Platform or any part of it;

(b) add, alter, condition, limit, withdraw or discontinue any feature, box, data source, integration or Service;

(c) set or change limits on use, including the number of Scans or questions available;

(d) suspend or restrict access generally or for particular users, groups or places, including as a precaution; and

(e) stop providing the Platform altogether, permanently, with or without notice, for any reason or for none.

15.4 Where it is reasonably practicable and appropriate, we will give notice of significant changes, but we are not obliged to and circumstances may not allow it. We are not liable to you or anyone else for any change, suspension, interruption or discontinuation, or for anything that results from it.

16. Information and Privacy

16.1 This section is our privacy notice for the Platform. We have kept it short and specific to what the Platform actually does.

16.2 We collect and use information to run, secure, maintain, improve and support the Platform and to meet obligations that apply to us. That information may include: the public address of any wallet you connect; a cookie that keeps you signed in and another that recognises your browser so that free allowances can be applied; a one-way hashed form of your network address, also used for allowances and abuse prevention; the inputs, questions, notes, theses, layouts, watchlists and practice entries you provide; and records of how features are used. We aim to collect only what is reasonably needed.

16.3 Some features analyse public information about you. If you connect a wallet and open the journal, the Platform reads the public transaction history of that address and stores the trades it finds so that it can show your journal to you. Scans read and store public information about tokens, wallets, websites and public social media accounts, which may include recent public posts.

16.4 We keep information for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes it was collected for, for as long as we are required or permitted to, and for as long as is appropriate for resolving disputes, enforcing these Terms, keeping records and protecting the Platform. Periods differ by type of information and circumstance. Information may remain in backups, logs, archives and derived records after it is deleted elsewhere, and may be kept indefinitely in aggregated or de-identified form.

16.5 Information may be processed and stored outside the place where you live, including by providers who act for us, and we take appropriate steps in relation to those arrangements.

16.6 Records on public networks, and posts on public social platforms, are outside our control. They are public, may be permanent, may be copied, indexed and analysed by anyone, and cannot be deleted or changed by us or by you. Please treat anything placed on a public network as permanent and public.

16.7 If you have rights over information about you, you can exercise them by contacting our official account at https://x.com/scanchanxbt.

17. Disclaimers

17.1 The Platform is designed and looked after with genuine attention, using methods we think suit its nature and scale, and we work hard to keep its displays accurate, its analysis careful and its systems secure. That work is real, and it is not a guarantee.

17.2 To the fullest extent the law allows, the Platform, the Services, every Scan and Assessment, and all content, features, integrations and materials made available through them are provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE", with all faults, and without any warranty, representation, condition, undertaking or term of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory or otherwise.

17.3 Without limiting the above, we disclaim all implied warranties and conditions of merchantability, satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose, title, quiet enjoyment, non-infringement and accuracy, and any warranty arising from a course of dealing, performance or trade usage.

17.4 We do not warrant or represent that:

(a) any Scan or Assessment is accurate, complete, current or free of error, or that it identifies every risk or every link;

(b) the Platform will be available, uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free;

(c) any defect, vulnerability or error will be found, disclosed or fixed;

(d) the Platform or any connected system is free of harmful components;

(e) any information shown is reliable or suitable for any purpose;

(f) the Platform will meet your needs or achieve any result; or

(g) any Third-Party Service will work, stay available, behave as expected or act in your interests.

17.5 No advice or information from us, spoken or written, creates a warranty not set out here.

17.6 Some places do not allow certain warranties or implied terms to be excluded. Where that is so, the exclusions above apply only as far as allowed, and you may have rights these Terms do not affect. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

18. Limits on Our Responsibility

18.1 This section shares risk between us. It is a condition of the Platform being offered at all, and offering it freely depends on it. Please read it carefully.

18.2 To the fullest extent the law allows:

(a) we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for any loss of profit, revenue, trading gain, business, opportunity, anticipated saving, goodwill, reputation, data, use or value, however it arises and whether or not it was foreseeable, and whether the claim is in contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability, statute or otherwise, even if we were told it might happen;

(b) we are not liable for any loss, damage or harm arising from or connected with: any decision you make, including any decision to acquire, hold or dispose of any token, whether or not informed by the Platform; any Scan, Assessment, alert, answer or display, or any reliance on it; your use of or inability to use the Platform; any interruption, suspension, change or discontinuation; any act or omission of any third party, including any independent participant, token creator, market actor, automated system, malicious actor or Third-Party Service; any unauthorised access to or use of any system, credential, key or record; any error, defect, vulnerability, exploit, delay, failure or inaccuracy; any change in the value, liquidity, availability or treatment of anything; any matter arising on a public network; or any cause outside our reasonable control; and

(c) our total liability arising out of or in connection with these Terms and the Platform, for all claims together, will not exceed one hundred United States dollars or its equivalent.

18.3 These limits apply even if a remedy fails of its essential purpose. Where a place does not permit some of them, they apply as far as permitted and the rest remain in effect. Nothing in this section limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

19. Your Indemnity

19.1 You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless the operator of Scan-Chan, its affiliates, and their officers, directors, employees, contractors, agents, licensors and representatives, against any claim, demand, action, proceeding, loss, liability, damage, cost or expense, including reasonable legal fees, arising from or connected with: your use of the Platform; your User Content; your use or presentation of any Scan or Assessment; your breach of these Terms; your infringement of anyone's rights; your use of any Third-Party Service; or your failure to meet any requirement that applies to you.

19.2 We may take over the exclusive defence and control of any matter covered by this indemnity, at your expense, and you agree to cooperate with us. You will not settle any matter that affects us without our prior written consent.

20. Events Outside Our Control

20.1 We are not liable for any delay or failure to perform caused by anything outside our reasonable control, including natural events, fire, flood, epidemic, war, civil unrest, terrorism, labour disputes, failure of power, telecommunications or internet infrastructure, failure or unavailability of any network, protocol, data source, dependency, provider or supplier, changes in the terms or availability of any Third-Party Service, attacks, exploits and other malicious conduct, governmental or regulatory action, and changes in law.

21. Ending These Terms

21.1 These Terms apply from your first use of the Platform and continue until they end.

21.2 You may stop using the Platform at any time, which ends these Terms for your future use. If you were signed in, you may also disconnect your wallet.

21.3 We may suspend, restrict or end your access, wholly or partly, at any time, with or without notice, for any reason or for none, including to protect the Platform, other users or ourselves.

21.4 When these Terms end, your licence ends, your access stops, and any records, layouts, watchlists, theses, journals, practice entries, allowances or other material associated with you may be suspended, restricted or deleted, without compensation. Scans already published may remain visible. Provisions that by their nature should continue will continue, including Sections 2, 4.4, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21 and 22.

22. Disputes and General Terms

22.1 Talk to us first. If something goes wrong, please contact us at our official account at https://x.com/scanchanxbt before anything else. Most issues can be settled quickly and informally, and that is how we would prefer to settle them. You agree to allow at least thirty days for a good-faith resolution before starting any formal proceeding.

22.2 Governing law. These Terms, and any dispute arising from or connected with them, including non-contractual disputes, are governed by the laws of the place where the operator of Scan-Chan is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.

22.3 Forum. The courts of that place have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from or connected with these Terms or the Platform, except where a law that cannot be excluded gives you the right to bring proceedings where you live.

22.4 Individual basis. As far as the law allows, disputes will be resolved individually and not as part of any class, collective, consolidated or representative proceeding. If this restriction cannot be enforced for a particular claim, that claim is separated and dealt with in the applicable forum, and the rest of this section continues to apply.

22.5 Time limit. As far as the law allows, any claim must be brought within one year of the events giving rise to it, or it is permanently barred.

22.6 Changes to these Terms. We may revise these Terms at any time. A revised version takes effect when posted, or on any later date it states. Where a change is material, we will take reasonable steps to bring it to your attention. Using the Platform after that point means you accept the change. If you do not accept it, please stop using the Platform. The version and date appear at the top of this document.

22.7 Severability. If any provision is found invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, it is adjusted to the minimum extent needed to make it enforceable while keeping its intent, or if that is not possible, it is removed. The remaining provisions stay in full effect.

22.8 No waiver. Not exercising a right, or exercising it late, is not a waiver of it, and exercising it once or in part does not prevent exercising it again.

22.9 Transfer. You may not assign or transfer these Terms or any rights under them without our prior written consent. We may assign, transfer, delegate or novate these Terms, in whole or in part, freely and without notice, including as part of a reorganisation, merger, acquisition or transfer of assets.

22.10 Entire agreement and no reliance. These Terms, together with any documents expressly made part of them, are the entire agreement between us about the Platform. They replace every earlier or parallel understanding, communication, representation, statement and material of any kind, spoken or written, including anything said in community spaces, posts, messages or replies. You confirm that you have not relied on any statement, representation, assurance, description, expectation or understanding that is not expressly set out in these Terms.

22.11 No partnership. Nothing in these Terms creates a partnership, joint venture, employment, agency, trust or fiduciary relationship between us.

22.12 Third-party rights. These Terms are for your benefit and ours. Apart from the persons named in Section 19, no one else may enforce any part of them.

22.13 Notices. We may give you notice by posting on the Platform, through any contact method you have given us, or by any other reasonable means. Notices to us must be sent to our official account at https://x.com/scanchanxbt.

22.14 Language. These Terms are written in English. Any translation is offered for convenience only, and the English version prevails if there is any difference.

22.15 Headings. Headings are for convenience and do not affect meaning.

23. Getting in Touch

23.1 Questions about these Terms, or about anything the Platform shows, can be sent to our official account at https://x.com/scanchanxbt. We read what we receive and aim to reply within a reasonable time, though we cannot commit to a particular timeframe, and correspondence does not change these Terms.
